New Metal Nightstand

I finally got around to moving all my bedroom furniture back into the new/old arrangement. The bed stayed in the corner but everything else went back to their original places. They were moved around for so long that Nick and I are both having to get used to where our respective underwear drawers are again, haha. Our bedroom is the only room upstairs and is sort of a loft style, hence the railing you see in the photo below.

I rearranged some of the wall decor while I was at it, including the painting I recently purchased. And do you see what else is below??? I got a new nightstand! A reader suggested the Lindved side table from Ikea and at only $20 I figured it was certainly worth a try! My friend Brandi was conveniently already headed to Ikea in Houston Labor Day weekend and picked it up for me.

While not as sturdy as I’d hoped, it’s the perfect size and I love that the metal and thin legs are different from anything else I have in here. Variety is the spice of life, am I right? And since I got it for only $20 maybe now I can justify spending $60 on a table for the other side. I’d like something a little different but hopefully the same height.

Thanks Mary for suggesting the Lindved! I want you all to know that I made my bed especially for these photos. That’s how special you are to me. Also, I finally got around to creating a facebook page for my blog! You can check it out here. I’ll be using it to share blog posts, instagram photos, etc. Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a fabulous Thursday!

  1. It’s super cute, Charlotte! You made a good choice.
The height looks perfect for your bed, and at that
price you can keep it for a few years and upgrade down
    the road.
You’ve done a fantastic job with your room.
